Today we spoke with Fin, who has been with us just over a year and has already proven to be a great asset to the team.

Personal Insights
What is your role and key responsibilities at Tokamak?
Transport Dispatcher. My key responsibilities are driver communication, VBS bookings, understanding my drivers' hours and time.
How did you get started in the logistics industry?
I moved from Leicester to North Devon looking to start a new life for myself. I came from an interview and a trial day at Tokamak. I enjoyed the challenge, so I stuck with it!
On The Job
What's the most challenging aspect of your job and how do you manage it?
I find staying on top of the constantly changing plans to make sure the day goes smoothly for us and the drivers is a challenge.
What do you enjoy most about working in the transport office?
A sense of satisfaction of our team fixing problems that occur by working together.
Can you share a moment where you really felt proud of your team or your work?
I felt very proud of myself after passing my CPC, first time!
Team & Culture
How would you describe the team culture in the transport office?
Its very free and welcoming - you are encouraged to e yourself and have your own opinions.
How would you describe the company ethos?
Tokamak encourages their staff to implement ideas into the company and take part in its development. It is a forward-thinking and modern way of building a business.
How do you and the driving team stay connected?
I speak with them every day and make sure that I talk about things outside of work to make interactions less serious.
Off the Clock
What do you enjoy doing in your free time outside of work?
Sea fishing.
Do you have any fun facts, hobbies or hidden talents your coworkers might not know about?
I trained in archery as a child. 2. I can lucid dream. 3. I can spin a basketball on my finger.
